I first didn't get it — are you anxious about russians adding you or are you excited? It is quite a normal behavior, which can be observed all over the space — someone finds something interesting, tells about it to his or her fellas, and everybody rushes to the place to witness the news with his own eyes. I once added a fashion model to my friends and while I was doing it, 6 more people added her to their friends list. And she was just a model, travelling around the world. There are still quite a few russians reading her blog. So what's the deal? Expect even more.
People are not expecting you to add them to their friends, though. And no, the majority of those are surely not spam-bots or something (what a rubbish!). I am not a bot, and I am now adding you to my friends. Do you mind? :)

And yes, The Doors were always very popular with russians. For whatever reason...
